Petzl ID Industrial Descender Large Red

Description

• Safety gate on the moving side plate lets the rope be installed while the device stays connected to the harness.
• Rope guide and markings make rope installation easy.
• Anti-error catch reduces the risk of an accident from installing the rope incorrectly.
• Ergonomic handle releases the rope and gives comfortable control of the descent, with two descent modes, on the side plate or in the V-shaped friction channel.
• Anti-panic function stops the descent automatically if the user pulls too hard on the handle.
• AUTO-LOCK system locks the rope as soon as the handle is released, so the user can position themselves without tying off the device.
• Handle switches to a storage position when the rope is removed, reducing the risk of snagging on the harness.
• Once locked, the rope can be taken up without using the handle, for a reversible haul system or short ascents.
• A second brake, open or closed, can be added for more control depending on load and rope diameter.
• Stainless steel wear plate reinforces the rope friction zone for durability.
• The moving side plate locks with a screw so the I’D L can be built into rescue kits.
