Petzl ASAP Lock
In normal use, the ASAP LOCK mobile fall arrester moves freely along the rope to accompany the user in all his movements.
In case of a sudden movement (fall, slide, uncontrolled descent...), the fall arrester locks on the rope and stops the user.
Locking function allows the user to immobilize the device to reduce the length of a fall.

The Petzl ASAP Lock is a mobile fall arrester for rope access that runs freely along the rope and follows the user without any manual handling. If the user falls, slides or descends out of control it locks onto the rope, and the integrated locking function lets the user immobilise it to reduce the length of a fall. It is used with an ASAP’Sorber energy absorber to work at a distance from the rope.
