The Open Wedge Socket is an Austlift clevis type wedge socket for terminating wire rope, such as crane ropes. The rope size must match the socket size, and the loaded end of the rope must enter the socket so it does not bend where it leaves the body. It comes in 10mm to 32mm.

  • Proof loaded to 2 x WLL and break tested to 4 x WLL.
  • Complies with AS 2740, with a test certificate supplied with each fitting.
  • The nominal rope diameter must equal the nominal size of the socket.
  • The loaded (live) end of the rope must line up with the socket, so it does not bend where it leaves the body.
